On the day of Krishna Vamana Dwadashi, devotees of Lord Vishnu observe a fast with full devotion. Dwadashi is considered to be very dear to Lord Vishnu. It is believed that Lord Vishnu is extremely pleased by observing fasts and performing rituals on this day. He blesses his devotees with happiness, wealth and prosperity. Krishna Vaman Dwadashi 2026: Rituals
On this day, get up early in the morning, take a bath and wear clean clothes. After that, install an idol of Lord Vamana or Vishnu in the home temple altar. Offer yellow flowers, fruits, tulsi patra and yellow sandalwood to Lord Vishnu. Light a ghee diya and incense and perform the aarti. Chant Vishnu Chalisa or mantras during the puja. It is considered very auspicious to donate to the needy by taking a vow of fasting.
