Sharing his thoughts on Instagram, Brett Lee said he felt lucky to have worked with such a legendary artist. He admired not only her talent but also her down-to-earth personality.

He wrote, “I had the pleasure of writing and recording You’re the One for Me with Asha Bhosle back in 2006. It’s something I’ll always be incredibly grateful for. What stayed with me most wasn’t just her extraordinary talent, but how kind and humble she was. Talking about her legacy, he further added, “I feel very fortunate to have shared even a small moment with someone so special. There’s no doubt her legacy will live on for generations to come.”

Memories From His Autobiography

In his book My Life: Brett Lee, the cricketer, spoke about filming the song’s video during the 2006 Champions Trophy in India. He also mentioned singing a few Hindi lines, which added a special touch to the track.

Brett Lee revealed that he later met Asha Bhosle again in Sydney when she performed at the Opera House. During that meeting, she gifted him a signed album, which he still considers one of his most treasured possessions.
