When a student has obtained 33 per cent marks, they are deemed ‘passed’ in CBSE Class 10, 12 Board Exams 2026. If any student is not able to achieve 33 per cent marks and miss out by 01 marks or so, decision may be taken to award the grace marks.

Accordingly, students can expect the results for the first session by the end of April, which will help the Board accommodate the exam dates for the second session to be conducted in May.

Once released, the Class 10 CBSE results will be available on CBSE’s official websites – cbse.gov.in, results.cbse.nic.in, and cbseresults.nic.in – as well as through DigiLocker and the UMANG app. Students will be able to check CBSE Class 10 results through the roll number mentioned on the admit card.

CBSE uses multiple digital platforms to ensure smooth result access. These systems are designed to manage high user traffic and prevent disruptions during the announcement period.

Under the revised system, Phase 2 board exams for Class 10 are scheduled between May 15 and June 1, 2026. The Central Board of Secondary Education will allow students to improve scores in up to three subjects. 

The CBSE is expected to announce the exact date and time for Class 10 results a soon before declaration. With evaluation nearing completion, officials are likely to finalise the result schedule soon, keeping students informed through official portals.

Apart from official websites, CBSE is likely to provide digital marksheets via DigiLocker, as seen in previous years. The Central Board of Secondary Education has continued to expand digital access to results, enabling students to download verified documents online once results are declared in May.

An analysis of previous years shows that CBSE declared Class 10 results on May 13 in both 2025 and 2024, and May 12 in 2023. 

The most significant structural reform will be implemented in 2026, when the CBSE introduces a two-examination system for Class 10 board exams. Under the scheme notified last June, it is mandatory for Class 10 students to appear for the first-phase examinations, scheduled to be held between February 17 and March 6, 2026. The second phase, scheduled from May 5 to May 20, is optional and offers students the opportunity to improve their scores in up to three subjects.

With the phase 2 exams of CBSE Class 10 set to begin on May 15, the phase 1 results could be declared by April, while the Class 12 results are likely to be announced in May, as usual.

CBSE officials have stated that the answer sheets are in the final phase of verification. A notification regarding the date and time is expected to be released soon on the official website, cbse.gov.in.

Students can check their CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 results on several official platforms:

cbseresults.nic.in, cbse.gov.in, results.cbse.nic.in, results.digilocker.gov.in, and the UMANG app.

Students can expect the Class 10 result to be announced tommrorw, April 14, 2026, in view of the second board examinations.

According to CBSE regulations, students must secure at least 33% marks in each subject to pass. However, if a student falls short of the passing marks by just one or two points, 'grace marks' may be awarded to help them pass. This rule ensures that students who are only slightly short of the required marks do not get left behind due to minor deficiencies.

5. Your Class 10 or Class 12 marksheet will appear on the screen; download and save it for future reference.
