Along with educational news, he also has a keen interest in national and international development and sports news, as he has previously worked with a current affairs magazine. Sarju holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) from Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, Bhopal, and a Master's degree in Political Science from Jiwaji University, Gwalior. He is fluent in English, Hindi and Bundelkhandi.
