Namrata Vijay

Namrata Vijay is a Sub Editor with The Daily Jagran and has been associated with the company since April 2024. Based in Delhi, Namrata writes on cricket, tennis and badminton among other sports, and has covered marquee events, including T20 World Cup, Women's World Cup, IPL and Wimbledon. She handles the live coverage of cricket along with writing analytical and in-depth pieces on matches. Namrata has conducted exclusive interviews of some of the top-performing and emerging talents in India, including shuttlers Treesa Jolly, Gayatri Gopichand, Krishna Nagar, cricketer Navdeep Saini and Sneh Rana among others.

Namrata has been working as a journalist since 2021. Her experience includes working with TV9 Network (News9 live). Namrata contributes to the content creation which happens at the sports desk. She is an avid follower of badminton, cricket and tennis. Namrata holds a BA (English honors degree) from Deshbandhu College, University of Delhi and a PG Diploma in English Journalism from Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC), Dhenkanal.
