Ajeet Kumar

Ajeet Kumar is an experienced journalist with seven years in the field, currently serving as Chief Sub Editor at The Daily Jagran (international affairs), a digital arm of Hindi daily, Dainik Jagran. Based in India’s New Delhi, he plays a key role in shaping and refining content, especially world news.

His work spans breaking news, in-depth reports, and analyses, with a strong focus on international affairs, geopolitics, defence pacts, regional conflicts, and domestic developments. Through his contributions to The Daily Jagran, Ajeet covers complex global events, such as escalating tensions in the Middle East, US-Iran-Israel dynamics, India-Pakistan tensions, Russia-Ukraine war and their implications for South Asia, while making them accessible and context-rich for readers. He also had an experience covering the G20 Summit in Delhi.

With a keen eye for detail, honed through years of sub-editing and content curation, he combines speed with depth to deliver reliable journalism in a fast-evolving media landscape. His expertise lies in synthesising multifaceted issues, from diplomatic agreements to security challenges, helping audiences stay informed on critical matters. Before joining The Daily Jagran, he was part of the Republic Media newsroom and India TV, where he specialised in international news coverage.

He holds a PG Diploma degree in mass communication from India’s reputed institution, the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC), and a Master’s degree in the same subject from Guru Jambheshwar University, Hisar.

He can speak and write English and Hindi. Outside of work, Ajeet finds joy in playing musical instruments and exploring electronic gadgets.
