During her interview on Curly Tales’ YouTube, the iconic singer shared her favourite Sol Kadhi recipe, which is a drink made from coconut milk and lemon juice, and is both tangy and refreshing to drink.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup freshly grated coconut
- 4-5 kokam (Amsul)
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1-2 dried red chillies
- Fresh coriander leaves
- Salt to taste
How To Make Asha Bhosle-Style Goan Sol Kadhi:
1. Soak kokam (Amsul) in water for 20-30 minutes.
2. In a blender, add freshly grated coconut, a garlic clove and dried red chillies.
3. Add 1 cup of warm water and blend it.

4. Pour the mixture into a muslin cloth and squeeze out the coconut milk. Add the dried ingredients from the muslin cloth back to the blender and repeat the step once again to get the most out of the coconut.
5. Squeeze the Kokum pulp and add the water to the solkadi through a sieve
6. Add fresh coriander, a pinch of hing and salt to taste. Mix well and serve it chilled.
