A shocking kidnapping and assault case has come to light from the Khilchipur police station area, Rajgarh, Madhya Pradesh, where a young man alleged that four men chased him in a vehicle, abducted him, tied him to a tree in a forest, and brutally assaulted him.

According to the complaint, the accused intercepted the victim while he was returning home on his motorcycle. They allegedly covered his face with a black cloth, forced him into their vehicle, and took him nearly 300 metres inside a forest area. There, he was tied to a tree and beaten.

The victim further alleged that one of the accused threatened to kill him and take his wife with him. Before leaving, the accused allegedly used the victim's mobile phone to contact his maternal aunt's son and inform him about his whereabouts.

How The Incident Unfolded

Ravi Verma, a complainant and resident of Jirapur police station jurisdiction, told the police he went to his in-laws' village, Chatukheda, on Saturday to bring his wife home. But his in-laws refused to send his wife with him.

He was returning in the afternoon, and during that, a Bolero started following him somewhere between Sherpur and Hinautia villages. The complaint stated that at around 12.30 pm, three or four masked men stopped him on the road, covered his face with a black cloth and kidnapped him at gunpoint.

He complained that he was dragged into a jungle where the men tied him to a tree and beat him up. He also stated that he had recognised one person out of four as Ravi Bhilala.

After the incident, the victim and his family approached the police station on Saturday. However, police initially found the allegations suspicious and began an independent verification of the claims.

Following the investigation, police found sufficient grounds to proceed and registered an FIR against four accused, including Ravi Bhilala, late on Sunday night.

Relative Rescued The Victim

The victim stated that after the threats were made, the attacker used his mobile phone to make a call to his maternal aunt’s son and ran away from the site. Following this call, the relative arrived at the site, untied the victim, escorted him back and also retrieved the motorcycle and helmet left on the side of the road.
