Jagran Correspondent, Chandigarh. In view of the re-National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (re-NEET), the Indian Railways has decided to run special trains for candidates appearing in the examination. Northern Railways will run a special unreserved train between Bathinda and Chandigarh on June 21.
The train will have a total of 14 coaches, including 12 general coaches and two SLR coaches. This will be a fully unreserved special train, allowing a larger number of students and their parents to travel.
According to railway officials, Train No. 04556/04555 Bathinda-Chandigarh-Bathinda Unreserved Exam Special will operate for one trip only.
Exam special train schedule
Bathinda to Chandigarh: Train No 04556 will depart from Bathinda Cantt on June 21 at 5:30 AM and will reach Chandigarh at 11 AM via various stations.
Chandigarh to Bathinda: On the return journey, Train No 04555 will depart from Chandigarh at 7:10 PM and reach Bathinda late at night.
Stations
The train will stop at major stations, including Bhuchchu, Rampura Phul, Tapa, Barnala, Dhuri, Nabha, Patiala, Rajpura, Sirhind, Fatehgarh Sahib, New Morinda, Kharar, and Mohali (Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar).
This will provide a direct and affordable transportation option for candidates travelling to Chandigarh from various parts of Punjab.
Re-NEET after leak
The NEET was initially held on May 3, but soon allegations of paper leak followed. The investigation unearthed a network involving teachers, coaching institutes, and students, among others, involved in the leak and selling of question papers. On May 12, the authorities scrapped the examination and announced to conduct the re-examination on June 21.

Elaborate arrangements have been made this time with strengthened security to prevent any leak. The Indian Air Force (IAF) has also been called to transport the papers to ensure no leak takes place in the logistical process.
As a precautionary measure, the government also put a temporary ban on the Telegram app, which was found to have been used by the accused for selling papers last time.
