Delhi Weather Update: According to India Meteorological Department (IMD), temperatures in Delhi are expected to rise and touch 40 degrees Celsius by April 15, Wednesday. Monday’s maximum temperature is expected to be around 35-37 degrees Celsius, while the minimum will be 18-20 degrees Celsius. Strong winds, speeding up to 15-25 km/h are also likely.
Clouds, gusty winds and spells of light scattered rain in April kept Delhi unusually cool, bringing down the maximum temperature to 28.2 degrees Celsius, last Wednesday, the lowest for the month in 11 years.
“Gradual rise in maximum temperatures by 6-7 degrees Celsius during next 7 days. Prevailing below normal Maximum temperatures are likely to become normal during next 2 days and above normal to appreciably above normal thereafter,” IMD mentioned in its latest forecast.
Along with Delhi, several other cities, including Noida, Ghaziabad, and Gurugram, are also likely to witness similar weather conditions throughout the week. The IMD stated that the residents of Delhi are likely to witness winds with a speed of 11 km per hour, adding that the humidity is expected to remain at 49 per cent. The weather department also stated that the strong surface wind has also improved the air quality of the national capital over the past few days.
UP Weather
The weather in Uttar Pradesh will remain mainly dry and pleasant tomorrow. Rainfall activity will decrease, but strong winds are possible during the day.
IMD has issued a heat wave warning for several districts, including Meerut, Aligarh, Mathura, Agra, Bareilly, Firozabad, Mainpuri, Kanpur, Lucknow, Ayodhya, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, and Deoria, during the afternoon. The effects of the heat will be felt as temperatures rise.
Bihar Weather
The weather in Bihar is expected to remain dry on April 12. Temperatures are expected to rise and heat waves are expected to be severe in many districts.
Daytime temperatures may remain high in Patna, Gaya, Jehanabad, West Champaran, East Champaran, Buxar, Siwan, Saran, Bhojpur, Muzaffarpur, Vaishali, Samastipur, Darbhanga, Madhubani, Saharsa, Purnia, Kishanganj, Araria, Bhagalpur, Katihar, and Khagaria. People are advised to be cautious to avoid heatstroke and dehydration.
