Delhi Weather: Delhi residents woke up to an unusually chilly and hazy Friday morning after days of continuous rain, with the minimum temperature dipping to around 17 degrees C. For many people, it felt more like a late winter morning than April, offering a brief respite from the usual early summer heat.

However, this relief won’t last long. The weather is expected to gradually warm up, with temperatures likely to rise from Saturday. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has said there is no chance of rain in Delhi until April 15, and no alerts have been issued for the coming days.

From Friday evening weather conditions are set to change, with strong surface winds likely during the daytime. The maximum temperature is expected to touch around 33 degrees C, which is still slightly below normal for this time of year.

The IMD has also clarified that no heatwave conditions are expected in the city until April 16. While April may have near-normal heatwave days, the broader picture for April-June indicates above-normal heatwave conditions, implying that the extreme summer heat may return in the coming weeks.
