Love Insurance Kompany (LIK) OTT Release: Following its long-awaited theatrical debut on 10 April 2026, the Tamil science-fiction romantic comedy Love Insurance Kompany (LIK) is already creating a significant stir regarding its digital premiere. Directed by Vignesh Shivan, the film has successfully combined futuristic themes with traditional emotional storytelling, leaving fans eager to know when they can stream it from the comfort of their homes.
After facing a series of postponements throughout 2025, LIK finally arrived in cinemas to a warm reception. The global rollout began with special premiere screenings in the United States on April 9, just hours before it hit the big screens across India. Starring Pradeep Ranganathan, S. J. Suryah, and Krithi Shetty, the film is backed by a powerhouse production team including Rowdy Pictures and Seven Screen Studio, with Nayanthara serving as one of the key producers.
The plot offers a refreshing departure from standard cinema. It follows a young protagonist who gains access to a futuristic device that transports him to the year 2035. His mission to find a lost love leads him to a corporate world where romance is treated exactly like an insurance policy complete with legal contracts, claims, and structured outcomes for breakups.
As is the trend with major South Indian releases, the digital rights for LIK have been a subject of intense negotiation. According to the latest reports, Amazon Prime Video has successfully secured the OTT rights for the film. While the creators have not yet released an official statement, industry insiders suggest that the movie will likely follow the standard theatrical window of four to six weeks.

If the film maintains its current momentum at the box office, audiences can expect LIK to begin streaming around mid-May 2026. This timeline would allow the film to maximise its theatrical revenue before reaching a wider global audience on the small screen.
One of the major draws of the film is its high-calibre technical crew. The vibrant musical score is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, while the visual landscape of 2035 has been captured by cinematographers Ravi Varman and Sathyan Sooryan.
