Lagaan completed 25 years, and the milestone was celebrated with a special event in Mumbai attended by Aamir Khan and several industry veterans. Among the evening's highlights was Kajol and Juhi Chawla's playful roasting of Aamir, which delighted fans and brought back memories of their Ishq days.
During the event, Kajol and Juhi were invited to say a few words about Aamir, but the duo turned the occasion into a playful roast, leaving everyone amused.
Kajol said, "Well, what can I say? One thing we can say about Aamir Khan is the fact that his production has definitely proved that he has great taste in movies, irrevocably good taste. Starting with Lagaan and continuing forward — and great taste in women as well."
Juhi added, "I don't have just one word but a lot more for Aamir. If I start, I can take over the evening. Because before he began Aamir Khan Productions, he was AK and we worked together, that was his first film. Aur dekho jisne mere saath kaam kiya, woh kahan pahunch gaya (And look at the people who worked with me — see how far they have gone in life)."
Fans loved the light-hearted exchange between the actors. Many praised Kajol and Juhi’s witty remarks, while others said the moment brought back nostalgic Ishq vibes and enjoyed seeing the duo share the stage again.
Aamir Khan set to tie the knot with Gauri Spratt
Aamir Khan is set to marry his partner, wellness and beauty industry professional Gauri Spratt, in an intimate ceremony on July 5, 2026. This marks the 61-year-old actor's third marriage, following previous unions with Reena Dutta and Kiran Rao.
Aamir officially confirmed the news to Variety India, stating, "The news about the marriage is true. It's on July 5."
