India Post GDS 2nd Merit List 2026 Out: India Post GDS 2nd merit list is out across 23 circles following the completion of the document verification process for the first merit list. A total of 28,636 vacancies for Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS), Branch Postmaster (BPM), Assistant Branch Post Master (ABPM), and other posts.
Candidates can login to the official portal at indiapost.gov.in and download the state-wise PDF to check their qualifying status. The 2nd merit list will have names and roll numbers of those students who have not been selected in the first merit list.
Due to the Model Code of Conduct, supplementary lists of states including Assam, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and West Bengal have been withheld.
India Post GDS 2nd Merit List 2026 Out: Steps To Download
Candidates can follow the given steps to download the merit list PDF. No login credentials are required to access the merit list.
Step 1: Go to the official portal and click on the “selected candidates” option.
Step 2: Select your zone. GDS 2nd merit list will be displayed on the screen.
Step 3: Press Ctrl+F. Enter your registration number to search your results quickly instead of going through the entire list.
Step 4: If your name appears in the list, prepare for the Document Verification process.The details will be communicated to you later.
Step 5: Download the merit list PDF for future use.
India Post GDS 2nd Merit List 2026 Out: What’s Next?
Shortlisted candidates will now have to prepare for the document Verification process, where they need to carry original documents along with photocopies. The authorities will inform the candidates in due course. Those who have not been selected in the second merit list, can wait for the third merit list.
Final appointment will be made after document verification and the appointment letters will be sent to the selected candidates.
