The Punjab Kings leg spinner, Yuzvendra Chahal, has hit the headlines again due to a revelation made by an actress, Taniya Chatterjee, from Bollywood. Chatterjee, known for her work in bold OTT web series and viral social media presence, has claimed that Indian cricketer Chahal has sent her a direct message on Instagram.
Since the revelation, Chahal's name has been talked about in every corner, and he seems to be at the centre of some controversy over Chatterjee’s allegation. The actress has also stated that Chahal replied to one of her stories where she had posted a video of herself and referenced the word "cute".

Video of her Claims went viral and is circulating on Social Media. Chatterjee also said to the paparazzi regarding the incident and showed them her Instagram account, where Chahal had sent her direct messages on Instagram, which further validates her story.
Taniya's claim concerning Chahal has come as a shock to many. Chatterjee openly displayed to the cameras the alleged direct messages from Chahal. While the Daily Jagran does not confirm Taniya's allegation against Chahal that she made, there is much speculation surrounding it.
On the cricketing front, Chahal has not been part of India’s active squad recently, with his last international appearance coming in 2023. He was, however, a member of the squad that won the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024.
Currently, Chahal plays IPL 2026 for the Punjab Kings, where he will try to give the Punjab Kings a championship and eventual return to the Indian National Team.
Chahal Recently Divorced
Chahal was previously married to Dhanashree Verma, who was a choreographer before their split recently. The couple married in December 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic. After a few years of marriage, they had a falling out and gradually separated. News of their divorce surfaced in March 2025, 18 months after the separation.
